Act Second LLC is seeking a talented and experienced Website Developer with expertise in Shopify and a strong background in UX and UI design to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Shopify-based websites and web applications. This role requires strong technical skills, a keen eye for design, and the ability to work collaboratively with our creative and marketing teams to deliver exceptional digital experiences.
- Shopify Development: Design, develop, and maintain Shopify-based websites and applications, ensuring high performance, security, and user experience.
- UX/UI Design: Create and implement user-centric designs that enhance the user experience and drive engagement. Collaborate with the design team to develop wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups.
- Front-End Development: Build responsive, user-friendly interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Liquid. Ensure compatibility across various devices and browsers.
- Customizations: Customize and extend Shopify themes and functionalities to meet specific project requirements. Develop custom Shopify apps and integrations as needed.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the design, content, and marketing teams to translate creative concepts into functional web experiences. Ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
- Optimization: Optimize websites for maximum speed, scalability, and SEO performance. Conduct regular performance testing and implement improvements.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve technical issues related to website functionality, performance, and security. Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing websites.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing of websites and web applications to ensure they are free of bugs and meet quality standards. Implement user feedback and perform regular updates.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of code, processes, and development workflows. Ensure knowledge transfer and continuity within the development team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.
- Minimum of two years of experience in web development, with a strong portfolio of Shopify projects.
- Expertise in Shopify development, including Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and custom app development.
- Strong background in UX and UI design, with the ability to create user-centric designs and interfaces.
- Experience with front-end frameworks such as React, Vue.js, or Angular is a plus.
- Familiarity with database management systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Knowledge of web performance optimization techniques and SEO best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in English is mandatory, as most of our clients are based in the US.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and deployment workflows.
